OUR Productspersonal dosimetry

personal dosimetry

Group of products designed for individual monitoring of occupational exposure to ionizing radiation and for keeping a reliable record of personal dose. The instruments are worn as compact badges or pocket devices and provide instantaneous dose rate readings, accumulated dose, and audible/visual alarms when configurable thresholds are exceeded. They are used by NPP personnel, medical and radiotherapy staff, NDT operators, first responders and HAZMAT teams. Solutions include the MS24A electronic personal dosimeter with tissue-equivalent energy response, and the miCAM-micro personal dosimeter for measuring inhalation dose from alpha- and beta- airborne particulates and radon/thoron progeny.

MS24A dosimeter

The Micasensor MS24A electronic personal dosimeter is primarily designed as a versatile device for personnel of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). Operating at various energies and dose rates, it contains a plastic scintillator detector whose energy response is close to that of human tissue. With superior sensitivity compared to semiconductor p-n junction detectors, the MS24A provides fast and accurate measurements in variable radiation fields, is capable of correctly measuring pulsed radiation from NDT and medical equipment, and demonstrates better performance at low background levels. miCAM-micro Dosimeter

The Micasensor miCAM-micro is a unique instrument designed for continuous measurement of airborne alpha- and beta- active particulate concentration in the air as well as personal effective dose of internal exposure received due to inhalation of such particulates. This is the smallest of a kind instrument that can be easily placed close to the personal breathing zone and provide accurate measurements in a variety of operation environments. Read more
