The ABG-MS003 is a compact, versatile, all-in-one monitor designed for the simultaneous detection of surface contamination from alpha-, beta-, and gamma-emitting radionuclides. Depending on the model, it can also function as a Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) for gamma and, optionally, neutron source detection, in compliance with ANSI N42.32 and IEC 62401, or used as a gamma radiation dose rate meter with a range of up to 10 Sv/h.
The distinguishing feature of the MS003 is its completely independent detection channels, enabling one-pass scanning for alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. This significantly reduces object scan time for contamination and simplifies measurement procedures. The user can configure adjustable alarm thresholds to suit various application scenarios. The detector's rugged design ensures reliable performance in demanding environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, with minimal maintenance and servicing requirements.
The MS003 is applicable across multiple sectors, including the nuclear industry, nuclear fuel cycle processes, and operational areas of nuclear power plants (NPPs), where it can be used for the simultaneous detection and measurement of alpha and beta contamination on personnel and equipment exiting controlled and supervised zones. It is also suitable for radioactive waste management and environmental monitoring applications. Furthermore, the device can be used to identify elevated concentrations of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) in by-product waste from oil and gas exploration and production activities.
